3-Point Scale of Faces to Measure Enjoyment

This survey measures enjoyment via a 3 Point Likert scale assigned to pictorial representations of three levels of enjoyment (enjoyed a lot, neutral, did not enjoy at all).

This survey has NOT been tested for validity or reliability, and therefore should not be used as the basis for any scientific research

Suggested populations
Due to its simplicity and pictorial nature, this survey is appropriate for a wide range of ages and abilities, including those without literacy comprehension

Poi as a Rehabilitative Tool for Parkinson’s

Multi-Dimensional Satisfaction Survey

This survey is designed to collect data about how satisfied participants felt after doing poi, as measured across 5 dimensions (physical, cognitive, social, emotional, safety).

Validity and reliability
This survey is a modified form of the Physical Activity Class Satisfaction Questionnaire (PACSQ), of which there is validity evidence based on test content, validity evidence based on internal structure, and validity evidence based on relations of the satisfaction dimensions with other variables.

Suggested populations
Suitable for a wide range of populations, though relatively advanced reading comprehension is required

Self-Assessment Manikin (SAM) to measure Emotional Response

This survey is a non-verbal pictorial assessment which measures the pleasure, arousal, and dominance associated with a person’s affective reaction or emotional response to stimuli.

Validity and reliability
SAM has extensive validation research globally, with ratings of pleasure and arousal highly correlating to measures of affective evaluations.

Applicable to most populations

Poi as a Rehabilitative Tool for Hospital Patients (stroke & other neurological conditions)

This survey is designed to collect data about the experience of patients in a hospital or other rehabilitative setting who have engaged with poi as part of their recovery therapy.

Validity and reliability
This survey has NOT been tested for validity or reliability, and therefore should not be used as the basis for any scientific research

Suggested populations
Hospital patients in a neuro-rehabilitation or trauma ward who are recovering after a stroke, fall, amputation, or other treatments/procedures

Between 1 and 5 minutes
