01: Getting Started
Before you begin playing poi, we’ve got a few things to cover. In this module you will learn how to manifest your first pair of poi, be introduced to some best practices so you can stay safe while you play, and learn a comprehensive warm up routine for your muscles and joints.
02: Modes of Movement
Explore the two fundamentals ways your poi can move through space: swinging (also called a pendulum) and spinning.
A plane describes where your poi are in space. This module will go over the three main planes: wheel (parallel to your sides), wall (flat in front of you), and horizontal (parallel to the floor and ceiling).
Direction describes which way the poi are moving in relation to you. This module will explore direction in relation to the three planes.
Timing describes how the poi are moving in relation to each other. This module will explore the two main timings, together and split, in relation to our planes.
06: Putting it all Together
Learn how to use the modes of movement, plane, timing, and direction to facilitate poi sessions and further your own poi play. In addition, the 25 Ways to Play video demonstrates 25 exercises for you to use and build on.
