Sarah (Egypt)
Poi has been a big part of Sarah’s personal journey, and she shares it with a deep understanding of its foundations, technique, and flow principles. Flow is at the heart of Sarah’s teaching approach, where movement is seen as a continuous thread—each pattern naturally leading into the next. Rather than learning tricks in isolation, she helps students understand how to connect them into smooth, effortless flow. She focuses on building strong movement foundations, body awareness, and an understanding of how poi moves through space, which gives students the tools to navigate patterns with intention, clarity, and creativity.

Kay (Canada)
Kay fell in love with poi 30 years ago. After many years of spinning poi as a hobby, Kay began performing and teaching poi. She now works at a circus school where she teaches poi, juggling, and other forms of prop manipulation. Kay focuses on techniques and concepts that help spin the poi with control, which improves overall poi spinning. She also supports learning individual tricks and building strong technical skills. Kay is experienced with group poi spinning, musicality, choreography, and performing, and can show ways of synchronizing poi spinning with a group and with music.

Dori (U.S.A.)
Dori found poi after a long battle with an autoimmune disease that caused muscular and neurological damage. She aims to create an empathetic and psychologically safe movement space where every body, regardless of strength, disability, or any other factor, can find success. Dori brings the principles of problem solving, research and analysis, and iterative improvement from her twenty-year career in software development to her poi teaching. Her preference is to work with beginners, those seeking therapeutic movement, and anyone wanting to go deep into the mechanics and neurological effects of poi.
