Become a Certified SpinPoi Instructor in this 2 day course on working with poi as a therapeutic tool.
Course Details
The SpinPoi Certification is an evidence-based qualification stemming from clinical research on the effects of poi on physical and cognitive function. Participants will learn about working with poi as a therapeutic tool for wide variety of clients including older adults, children, those with dementia, Parkinson’s, and more. Participants will then have a chance to focus their homework and various course components on the population(s) they plan to work with in their community. This is an 8 hour course delivered over two sessions. Participants are expected to attend the full sessions and complete 12 hours of homework outside of class.

This is an 8 hour course delivered over two sessions. The location of the course is TBD.
Session 1: Sunday 25 June, 2023. 1pm – 5pm
Session 2: Sunday 2 July, 2023. 1pm – 5pm
Course Fee & Resources
The course fee is $399 NZD per person. Please note the SpinPoi shop defaults to USD, but you can change the currency at the top of the page to see the price in New Zealand Dollars. Upon Course Completion
Upon successfully completing the course you will join the team of Certified SpinPoi Instructors across the globe and gain access to addition resources, including:
✔︎ Be listed as an official instructor on spinpoi.com
✔︎ Gain access to the Instructor Portal with additional resources to support you such as an extensive library of poi routines and documents to help you run your classes smoothly (consent forms, invoices, etc.)
✔︎ Gain access to the Certified SpinPoi Instructors facebook group where instructors are supporting each other and sharing resources in real time.
✔︎ Receive a paper copy of your certificate in the mail
✔︎ Be promoted as a Certified Instructor across SpinPoi’s social media, with continued promotion of any workshops, events, or news you might have as you continue your journey
✔︎ Continued support from Dr. Kate Riegle van West as and when needed
Cancellation Policy
A cancellation can be requested at any time by emailing [email protected]. Cancellation requests submitted prior to 30 days from the course date will receive a 90% refund. Cancellation requests submitted within 30 days of the course date will receive a 50% refund. If there are extenuating circumstances please email Kate to discuss.
